How it started..

Lash Bar opened in 2017 soley as an eyelash extension salon. I had worked out of my house for a few years and after building my clientele, I was ready to branch out and open a studio of my own. In 2019 my team had expanded more than I anticipated and I realized I needed a bigger space for us. Thus, we moved to one of our current locations in East Aurora, 609 Oakwood Ave.

The first time a woman cried after opening her eyes while looking in the mirror at her lashes, it changed the way I viewed my career. I stopped viewing my work as just a beauty enhancement. As silly as it sounds, lash extensions can change people’s lives. I have experienced a number of grown women that for their entire life, never viewed themselves as beautiful until they got lash extensions. Eyes are the main focus of a person’s attention so it’s important to take care of and enhance this feature. By enhancing a woman’s beauty we have the opportunity to create confidence that they never thought they would have. It’s been proven that women that are confident receive more promotions at work than women who are not. Confidence has also been proven to make for healthier relationships. This confidence empowers women to be a better version of themselves.

How it’s going…

The year of 2020 brought significant financial hardship and instead of closing our doors, I decided to switch from a traditional salon with commission based employees to a rental-style studio. It was the best decision I ever made! Lash Bar is now open to all beauty industry professionals. We have providers who offer a variety of services including lash extensions, lash lifts, lash/brow tint, brow lamination, waxing, facials, Botox, filler, Aquagold facials, permanent jewelry and chemical peels! Lash Bar is perfect for long-term rental or a great stepping stone for those looking to eventually open their own salon.

As women we have to crush the thought process that doing any beauty enhancement makes us “fake” or “high maintenance.” We are entitled to make ourselves feel more comfortable in our own skin. Empowerment is not something to feel guilty about. It’s something we should focus more on and encourage more women to do the same!
